When I was eight years old my father then 35, had a serious back injury and was told by his doctor that he would be in a wheelchair before the age of 40. He sought the help of a Chiropractor and within three weeks was back at work. It was that powerful experience that sparked my interest and intrigue in Chiropractic.

The first 15 years of my adult life were spent in education in the school system, followed by community colleges and lastly at designing and coordinating educational programs nationally. However, my dream to be a Chiropractor never left me, and in 1981, I entered the four year program at the Canadian Memorial College of Chiropractic (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario to pursue a life long dream.

And today, when someone asks me about Chiropractic, I feel this perennial sense of excitement and passion about my chosen profession. What a privilege to be entrusted to work with the energy source of the body, the central nervous system that is housed in the spine. While many patients present with low back pain, headaches and other common back problems, the treatment of these conditions often regulate other health concerns, since every organ and tissue receives its nerve supply from the spine. I have a special love of treating infants and children as their spines are just developing and their care leads to a healthy functioning spine and musculoskeletal system.
